Leather Care

Daily Handling

Keep leather away from prolonged water exposure, direct heat, harsh sunlight, oils, ink, alcohol, and abrasive surfaces.

Avoid overloading the bag. Heavy or sharp items can distort the silhouette, stress seams, or mark interior and exterior surfaces.

Cleaning

Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For light marks, use a barely damp cloth and test on a hidden area first. Do not soak embossed panels or hardware.

Avoid household cleaners, solvents, bleach, alcohol wipes, and aggressive scrubbing. These can strip finish, stain leather, or dull hardware.

Conditioning

Use leather conditioner sparingly and only when compatible with the specific leather finish. Always test a small hidden area and allow it to dry before wider use.

Embossed and coated finishes may not need frequent conditioning. Too much product can darken leather or build up in texture lines.

Storage

Store the bag upright in a cool, dry place with airflow. Fill it lightly with acid-free tissue or clean fabric to help preserve shape.

Do not store leather in plastic for long periods. Avoid stacking weight on top of the bag or compressing handles and straps.

Repair And Service

For deep stains, structural damage, loose hardware, or strap issues, contact DREAD IX before attempting repair.

A professional leather specialist may be needed for advanced cleaning or restoration.
